"This band of Texas outlaws plays reggae
their own way, in a danceable mix of concious lyrics, dancehall
delivery and harmonic
convergence that knows no boundries."
Chuck Foster, The Beat "I have played the whole 12 tracks release Nomad's Land. It is superiorily good! The reaction was frantic!", Jah Lucky, Magik Stereo 100.9 FM Port-au-prince, Haiti "Root 1 lays down some of the best multicultural world beat music I have ever heard. Respectful of the reggae traditions they are inovative rather than imitative. And my friends, that is something that is not always easy to find." Tony Davidson, Bryan-College Station Eagle "Among the best I have seen is Root 1...a very deep, hypnotic, trancy, dubby sound. Plus they know how to turn the bass up!" 'Rhatid' Internet Reggae News Group "Root 1 meets us with a reggae repertoire faithful to the past but unafraid to push gently into the future." Private Eye Weekly, Salt Lake City, Utah "This band could be the future of American Reggae!" Jim Beal, San Antonio Light |
